Today has been an off day, so when I got home. I had the urge to do a random project. Yes it's almost midnight. :) The boot-cuffs I've been attempting to make haven't worked out the way my imagination has pictured them. I needed to try something new. I took one of my sweaters and decided to cut the arms off. I remember seeing it in a pin on Pinterest at a glance. It was a crazy, impulsive thought. And it worked out. They turned out super cute. Or I think so!
Since it is literally in the middle of the night, I didn't have the natural sun light to take good pictures but I had fun messing around with them too. Pictures don't need to be perfect right? I took a red sweater from my dresser and made boot cuffs. Took my scissors and cut right below the bottom arm seam. Done! Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy. I thought I might sew the ends so they don't fray but they actually seem okay. I will have to watch the ends closely the more I wear them to see if they need hemmed or not.
I plan on making a couple more. Going to go to the stores and hit up the clearance racks for random sweaters to add a few more boot cuff/legwarmers to my collection. I have no idea what I am going to do with the rest of the sweater I just cut up, but it will come to me randomly like this project did. I'm not giving up on my knitted pair of boot-cuffs though. I still am determined to get the perfect pattern and outcome I am looking for. As soon as I do, you all will be the first to know!
Happy Midnight Crafting!
