The last two weeks or so, I've had this crazy obsession with shrinking down all my animal patterns. Why you ask? Because the smaller the animal, the cuter the animal!!
I have realized this week that it has been far too long since I last wrote a blog post. It has been a very busy summer. Spent my time getting my etsy shop blooming and working on tons new animals. Not to mention enjoying the beautiful summer weather!

My most recent animal! The Flamingo. I received this pattern as a birthday gift. (My friends know me well...) This is probably one of the more difficult patterns from Funky Friends Factory that I have. It took me well over a few hours to figure out. Thank goodness Pauline has a step by step tutorial for this beautiful bird! It was a huge help! You can also purchase this pattern on her website!
I can't believe that it has been one year this month since I started my blog! Blows my mind just how much it has grown. I never in my life thought that my first blog would reach over 26,000 unique hits in one year! To me that is... just so amazing. I am truly blessed. I go on Pinterest and I noticed something of mine pinned here and there. Still is sort of surreal. I am no where near a "popular" blog, nor do I write one in hopes that it would become a huge hit. I just write to basically write. I hope that I can lend a helping hand to at least a few people. Give them an insight to my craft world. :)
Here he is! :) The newest stuffed animal I attempted to make! I can add him to my "nailed it" list of projects. Right next to the lion and elephants I have already made. He was a little more difficult. As you can probably see a little bit, his arms are in two totally different places. And his tail was pretty tricky also. Nonetheless, he was a huge hit at the baby shower!
Hi Everyone! I haven't written a blog post in over two months. Kept putting off writing anything. I haven't been feeling it lately so took a small break. Plus, it was summer. :) I was super busy working both jobs and enjoying my summer.
Nothing really exciting has been going on. Just a few projects here and there. I have planned a few, but I am keeping them for winter. So I can keep busy. I am currently working on an afghan. Attempting to create my own pattern. :D One saturday about two months or so ago, I saw these adorable onesies at the local European Market. And I thought to myself, I've seen those all over the internet! I hadn't actually thought to look into it every time I came across it online. I just sort of passed it by. Mostly I saw the ties with the numbers on them counting the months from 1-12. Super cute DIY photo ops for new parents! I didn't want to go into that far depth when I tried to the project the first time for my older sister.
The pictures I had posted on my facebook of the set's I made for my sister got such great feedback. I had a few people ask me to make them a set for presents. I recently finished one of the orders for my friends and put together a sort of half-ish tutorial on how I make them. :) |
