Hello Everyone! Sorry it has been awhile. :) I have been super busy! TONS of new things are happening. I finally opened my new etsy shop! Whole new design, and new name!

My latest project! Life has been busy and stressful these last two months. I have not had time to sit down and really work on a project. There are a few projects up in the air still, such as my blanket and other knitting projects. Luckily since I buy a lot of my supplies ahead of time when it goes on sale, I had everything to make the hippo. Itching to work on a project, ANY project, I went to my fabric bins to search out any ideas. It came down to either working on a giraffe or a hippo. As I picked out which fabric colors to use, the hippo's fabric combos ended up making the decision for me. The link for where I purchased this adorable hippo pattern (and the other stuffed animal patterns on my blog) will be located down below! :)
I got the chance to do another fall photo shoot! :D It was so much fun. My cousin and his girlfriend wanted me to do some special photos for their anniversary. I was ecstatic that they picked me out of all the people they had to choose from.
Hi Everyone! I haven't written a blog post in over two months. Kept putting off writing anything. I haven't been feeling it lately so took a small break. Plus, it was summer. :) I was super busy working both jobs and enjoying my summer.
Nothing really exciting has been going on. Just a few projects here and there. I have planned a few, but I am keeping them for winter. So I can keep busy. I am currently working on an afghan. Attempting to create my own pattern. :D One saturday about two months or so ago, I saw these adorable onesies at the local European Market. And I thought to myself, I've seen those all over the internet! I hadn't actually thought to look into it every time I came across it online. I just sort of passed it by. Mostly I saw the ties with the numbers on them counting the months from 1-12. Super cute DIY photo ops for new parents! I didn't want to go into that far depth when I tried to the project the first time for my older sister.
The pictures I had posted on my facebook of the set's I made for my sister got such great feedback. I had a few people ask me to make them a set for presents. I recently finished one of the orders for my friends and put together a sort of half-ish tutorial on how I make them. :) Last month my older sister had her baby shower, along with her younger sister. (Sort of confusing I know.) They had a joint babyshower since they were due so close to eachother. I was super excited. I always love the chance to make things for people. (Oh and of course for having a new nephew on the way! ^_^ ) But, because at that time I was working 60+ hours a week between my two jobs, I didn't have time to actually make anything. :(
So what do I do? Go crazy cram crafting! I made all this in less than 24 hours. Excluding the lion which I had made months ago and just didn't have anyone to give it to until now. I went shopping for the materials and sewed everything the Friday before the babyshower. Which was hectic. My little sister, Jessie, and I had to leave that friday afternoon to drive the 4 hours south to where my sister lives. That cut my time even more. |
