This is one of my all time favorite Pinterest finds! That was my end result of the very first clothing item I sewed myself! It was so easy to make, not to mention adorable. I came across the tutorial on Pinterest and was like, " I can do that!" This Big Oak Tree's tutorial on how to make this skirt is easy to follow and understand. She does an amazing job giving enough pictures to follow and all the instructions make sewing this skirt effortless. She has a ton of other tutorials you should check out too. I love her blog!

The planning for the tutorial on how to make my awesome cuddling blankets has been put to a halt, once again. Since I haven't put out a craft post in about a week or so, I went digging through old projects and came up with this idea. This post is a look at past blanket projects I've done and actually finished. ^_^ There are three different blankets I am going to write about and show. One, is a hand-made chenille blanket. I followed a beautiful tutorial on how to make. I'll share the link to that later. The second one is just the plain baby minky blankets. Lastly, I'll show you guys the semi-quilted baby blanket I made as a custom order for a family friend. I actually found a lot of pictures on all these projects. :)
I am so excited to say that I just published the changes to my website. Thanks to the people at DivTag Templates, I was able to transform my website into something so much more beautiful and professional. I absolutely love it! The before and after is simply amazing.
I just recently, last month, finally graduated college (YAY!!!!!) Well I had to do an externship in order to graduate. As a parting gift at the end of my extern and to say thank you to all the girls in the doctor's office that taught me and helped me, my sister and I made some of our hand-made truffles to bring in for them. They were a huge hit. ^_^
We had previously made them for my aunt's babyshower as her party favor. Every girl's best friend is chocolate right? It was a major hit back then too. And I wanted to share with everyone our recipe and how we make them. I don't have full step by step pictures but I do have a few from when we made over 200 truffles for the baby shower. First off, we never really followed a real recipe per say. But, my sister (who is helping me write this blog post!) and I have put together a recipe. Before we start with the recipe, we are going to start off with giving some pointers on how to work with chocolate. It can be difficult to work with if you haven't ever worked with it before. I was talking with a few friends about my blog and we got to talking about other crafts that I haven't mentioned yet. Cross Stitching! Then that lead me to think... I never ever finish any of the cross stitching projects that I start... and from there I thought let's add up all the projects that I never seem to finish. Ever ^_^ Please excuse these pictures in this post. They are mostly all taken on my phone and not pretty at all. :) That's because I never finished them so they didn't get into my portfolio.
To kick it off... Cross Stitch projects. I get soo excited when I first start these, but then once I get past a part that I really really wanted to do, I lose interest and it ends up in unfinished tote. Or the bottom of a random craft tote. And I have many craft totes hahaha. Here's a few that I have yet to finish...these are from like... four or more years ago... This is one of my most successful pinterest projects. I loved this project and how well it turned out. For my first try making something like this, it was very satisfying. It was due to the Zaaberry blog and how well she put this tutorial together. It was pure genius. She made it really easy to understand and follow. All the step-by-steps pictures really helped out. When I made these I was still a beginner sewer, so all the little details she added into the tutorial were very helpful. If you click on their picture, it will take you to the tutorial!
