My most recent animal! The Flamingo. I received this pattern as a birthday gift. (My friends know me well...) This is probably one of the more difficult patterns from Funky Friends Factory that I have. It took me well over a few hours to figure out. Thank goodness Pauline has a step by step tutorial for this beautiful bird! It was a huge help! You can also purchase this pattern on her website!

I can't believe that it has been one year this month since I started my blog! Blows my mind just how much it has grown. I never in my life thought that my first blog would reach over 26,000 unique hits in one year! To me that is... just so amazing. I am truly blessed. I go on Pinterest and I noticed something of mine pinned here and there. Still is sort of surreal. I am no where near a "popular" blog, nor do I write one in hopes that it would become a huge hit. I just write to basically write. I hope that I can lend a helping hand to at least a few people. Give them an insight to my craft world. :)
One saturday about two months or so ago, I saw these adorable onesies at the local European Market. And I thought to myself, I've seen those all over the internet! I hadn't actually thought to look into it every time I came across it online. I just sort of passed it by. Mostly I saw the ties with the numbers on them counting the months from 1-12. Super cute DIY photo ops for new parents! I didn't want to go into that far depth when I tried to the project the first time for my older sister.
The pictures I had posted on my facebook of the set's I made for my sister got such great feedback. I had a few people ask me to make them a set for presents. I recently finished one of the orders for my friends and put together a sort of half-ish tutorial on how I make them. :) I made another shirt today! But, I changed it up a little bit from how I did it last time. Only changed a few details but thought I would share it all with you guys. I decided to try something with a little more detail. Hence my Dr. Who TARDIS. It was hard finding an outline that was detailed but not too detailed. But, I think I nailed it! It turned out so nice!
I didn't think that I would actually try this project when I first came across it months ago to be honest. I thought I wouldn't ever come up with a project that I really wanted to do in order to use it. Recently, I came across the awesome PETA "I'm a veggiesaurus" T-shirt, I had to make my own! (I did buy the real t-shirt from PETA too, it's in the mail! :D ) To celebrate my first "veggie-ersary", I was obsessing over how to make a cute shirt of my own.
Here it is! Finally!!! :D The tutorial for the snuggly blanket I make. I made one two years ago and everyone keeps trying to steal it or comment how snuggly and soft it is. Always hinting that they want me to make them one also. I use mine everyday. I love how soft it is. Now that all my craft supplies are out of storage, I dove into this project today. I picked out this fabric months ago. I was so ecstatic to finally use it. It's a beautiful combination.
