I can't believe that it has been one year this month since I started my blog! Blows my mind just how much it has grown. I never in my life thought that my first blog would reach over 26,000 unique hits in one year! To me that is... just so amazing. I am truly blessed. I go on Pinterest and I noticed something of mine pinned here and there. Still is sort of surreal. I am no where near a "popular" blog, nor do I write one in hopes that it would become a huge hit. I just write to basically write. I hope that I can lend a helping hand to at least a few people. Give them an insight to my craft world. :)
When I first started to write and create this blog, I wasn't sure how long I would keep up with it. I have this nasty habit of starting a large project and not following through with it, I tend to get bored fast. Coincidently, my blog/website has become more like my baby. My obsession. Although it seems recently I haven't posted nearly as many posts have I have in previous months, I have a few in the works that I just haven't had time to write. With going down to only one full time job now also, it frees up a ton of my time to actually sit down and finish the multiple projects I have in the works.
As I look to the future of my craft blog, I hope to be writing more helpful tutorials. Also, I plan on releasing a few of my own patterns and possibly starting an online store to sell certain items that I love to make. Not to mention the items that I have gotten a large amount of buzz back from. Those are both in the works also as I write this. I don't plan on them being done within the next few months, as I need to plan out everything before I start to sell. The blanket tutorial/pattern I am currently working on though I plan on having finished by the end of January. Giving myself plenty of time to deal with the holiday rush and holiday present projects in-between. That project tends to get benched for a few weeks at a time. Another bad habit of mine.
In the future I also plan on doing a more actual Pinterest pin reviews. Where I find a pin I like and try it out. Giving people my suggestions on how I did it, if it turned out or not. I have already written a few of those posts already. I liked figuring out different ways to make a project work, like how I did with my Yarn Ball tutorial that I put together.
One HUGE thing that is coming in the near future, is a whole website redesign. I was attempting to work on it a few weeks ago, but the coding was a little complicated. I am currently having issues. There are a few people that I have contacted to help me resolve the issues so I can go full swing into the redesign. With that, keep a look out for more of my own photography all of the website! I plan on taking tons more photos and even some classes to learn how to pictures properly. Instead of just winging it like I am doing now. :) There are a ton and ton of other ideas I have that just keep popping into my head, but for not I try to keep my list and goals short. :)
I want to thank everyone who has been reading my blog! I hope you all continue to wander down my crafting road with me!
