It's time for a recipe blog post!! I was walking around Meijer after work earlier this and kept losing myself in my mind thinking of future blog posts. My eyes fell on the grapes and they called out to me to eat them they looked so good. Then it hit me! Why not show you guys my most favorite grade snake ever? I have to stop myself from making this grape salad for months. I would go through almost 5 bags of grapes a week eating this constantly. Not just me of course eating the whole thing, but still. I have to step away from it. I haven't had it months and it was calling to me.

These yarn balls are literally all over the internet now a days. I always see tons of them on Pinterest and most of them are just pictures giving very vague instructions. So, I put together a tutorial for everyone on how I made these yarn balls for a wedding. They ended up being the center pieces on the tables. I tried and tried a few different ways on how to get these to turn out just right. I did a lot of research on the different methods. Glue and water mixture, spray glue, and starch were the three most abundant ways people were saying worked best.
This is one of my all time favorite Pinterest finds! That was my end result of the very first clothing item I sewed myself! It was so easy to make, not to mention adorable. I came across the tutorial on Pinterest and was like, " I can do that!" This Big Oak Tree's tutorial on how to make this skirt is easy to follow and understand. She does an amazing job giving enough pictures to follow and all the instructions make sewing this skirt effortless. She has a ton of other tutorials you should check out too. I love her blog!
The planning for the tutorial on how to make my awesome cuddling blankets has been put to a halt, once again. Since I haven't put out a craft post in about a week or so, I went digging through old projects and came up with this idea. This post is a look at past blanket projects I've done and actually finished. ^_^ There are three different blankets I am going to write about and show. One, is a hand-made chenille blanket. I followed a beautiful tutorial on how to make. I'll share the link to that later. The second one is just the plain baby minky blankets. Lastly, I'll show you guys the semi-quilted baby blanket I made as a custom order for a family friend. I actually found a lot of pictures on all these projects. :)
I just recently, last month, finally graduated college (YAY!!!!!) Well I had to do an externship in order to graduate. As a parting gift at the end of my extern and to say thank you to all the girls in the doctor's office that taught me and helped me, my sister and I made some of our hand-made truffles to bring in for them. They were a huge hit. ^_^
We had previously made them for my aunt's babyshower as her party favor. Every girl's best friend is chocolate right? It was a major hit back then too. And I wanted to share with everyone our recipe and how we make them. I don't have full step by step pictures but I do have a few from when we made over 200 truffles for the baby shower. First off, we never really followed a real recipe per say. But, my sister (who is helping me write this blog post!) and I have put together a recipe. Before we start with the recipe, we are going to start off with giving some pointers on how to work with chocolate. It can be difficult to work with if you haven't ever worked with it before. |
