It's time for a recipe blog post!! I was walking around Meijer after work earlier this and kept losing myself in my mind thinking of future blog posts. My eyes fell on the grapes and they called out to me to eat them they looked so good. Then it hit me! Why not show you guys my most favorite grade snake ever? I have to stop myself from making this grape salad for months. I would go through almost 5 bags of grapes a week eating this constantly. Not just me of course eating the whole thing, but still. I have to step away from it. I haven't had it months and it was calling to me.
What you'll need:
1 bag of red seedless grapes
3 Heath bars
1 container of Marzetti Cream Cheese Fruit-Dip.
2 zip lock baggies
Norammly one container of the dip will get me through two bags of grapes depending on how much you want your grapes covered. The same thing goes for the candy. It's really up to preference how much candy you want in it. I tend to add a little more candy and some people. Once you make it a couple times, you will find what tastes best for you.

First you will want to wash the grapes of course. And pick out the yucky ones. We all know that there are always some nasty grapes even in the best looking bags. Gross...
I always place some paper towel in the bowl after washing them to help dry them off some. You don't want any excess water in the bowl before you add the cream cheese dip.
While the grapes are drying a little more, I like to crush the Heath bars. There are, I have found, already crushed Heath bags in the baking sections of some stores. Those tend to be too tiny of pieces to get the little bit of crunch you want from the candy. I prefer to crush the bars myself to get decent sizes of the chunks. The pre-crushed bags save some time. I won't deny that. But in the end it only saves maybe less than 5 minutes at the most.
I place the candy bars in a ziplock bag then inside another ziplock bag. I take the large meat tenderizer. At least I think that is what that hammer thingy is called. :) I use the side of the hammer more than the actual sides. I just break up the bars until I am happy with the sizes of the pieces. It helps using both ziplock baggies in case you end up cutting up the outer one trying to crush the candy.

I love my grape salad with a little bit more of the dip. My Aunt, who I got the recipe from, likes to use less of the dip. It's all preferences. Once I add the right amount of dip I then judge and add in the broken bits of heath and mix it all in. And you're done! It's so simple and easy and yet tastes sooo good. It's always a huge hit at parties and holidays when I bring it. It's always nice to bring to parties and such. It's quick, easy, and relatively cheap. Between all of us, my batch is already gone in 24 hours. It's addicting that's for sure! :D
Happy 6 months!!
