One thing I absolutely love to do, is taking pictures of animals and nature. This was a great opportunity to take some pretty pictures of the animals. It was so much fun to take pictures of these amazing creatures. Not to mention, I got a good use of my new zoom lens!
My aunt randomly decided on Friday night that the next morning we would leave to go to the Cincinnati Zoo for their Easter celebration. The trip is about 4 and half hours one way from where we live near Chicago. The trip was way worth all the hours spent in the car and the wake up at 3:30 am.

I just realized that it has been a whole month since my last post. I need to get on the board for March, so I went through a whole bunch of older pictures. I came across a couple more older projects that I did. I am running out of projects where I have at least two or three pictures though. So bare with me if the pictures aren't as pretty. I know I've said this before on other posts about my past projects. A lot of these older ones are just pictures I took for myself, never planning on actually showing them to people or using them for my blog. They aren't really pretty. But, I thought I would share them now anyway. :)
It's been a crazy couple weeks getting ready for this wedding. One of my aunt's best friends was planning a wedding and as her maid-of-honor, my aunt took on some projects. Also volunteering my sister and I to help out too. I browsed the internet and found some crafty ideas for center pieces. The bride was on a tight budget and we had less than three weeks to plan everything. After a couple hours of searching my aunt decided on the perfect idea for the center pieces. Later, I would wish I hadn't shown her the idea...
I just recently, last month, finally graduated college (YAY!!!!!) Well I had to do an externship in order to graduate. As a parting gift at the end of my extern and to say thank you to all the girls in the doctor's office that taught me and helped me, my sister and I made some of our hand-made truffles to bring in for them. They were a huge hit. ^_^
We had previously made them for my aunt's babyshower as her party favor. Every girl's best friend is chocolate right? It was a major hit back then too. And I wanted to share with everyone our recipe and how we make them. I don't have full step by step pictures but I do have a few from when we made over 200 truffles for the baby shower. First off, we never really followed a real recipe per say. But, my sister (who is helping me write this blog post!) and I have put together a recipe. Before we start with the recipe, we are going to start off with giving some pointers on how to work with chocolate. It can be difficult to work with if you haven't ever worked with it before. It's time for my first pinterest post reviews! I was going through a crap ton of my craft photos trying to figure out what posts to give to you guys while I am searching for my own place. Until I get my own place, my crafts are put to a halt. So, I am going through some past ones that I've done and that I have pictures of.
This post will be about two pinterest pins that I am sure all you obsessive pinners have seen or at least came across. First is the DIY flag tank top and the other is the 4th Of July Trifle. First I am going to start of with my failure. The tank top. Gosh... it was a disaster. Heres the original pin that I went off. It was very well done. I read it a couple times before I decided to try it out. In the end... my tank top did not turn out so well. There could be a number of reasons. Let me show you guys the pictures I took while I was making it. I didn't take as many as I would have hoped. I wasn't planning a blog when I had started these projects. :( Sadly, not many step by step pictures like I normally have. I needed cheering up of some sorts. I thought of my sister and how much fun we had on christmas eve playing in a cardboard box (for hours...) and how on thanks giving how much fun we have taking silly mustache pictures. Here's a blog post (mostly silly past pictures) dedicated to my overly silly sister. I miss her lately. ^_^
